Approved Knowledge and Expiration
Turning an admin's escalation answer into reusable knowledge — with an optional expiration date.
When an authorized admin answers an escalation, that answer resolves the specific question by default — a one-time resolution that's relayed back to the community and goes no further.
From the Project's Escalations tab, an answered (but not yet promoted) escalation shows a "Save as Project Knowledge" action. Using it stores the admin's answer as a real Project Knowledge entry, so future, similar questions can be answered directly instead of escalating again.
A promoted answer can be given an optional expiration date — useful for time-sensitive facts like a distribution date, a claim window, an exchange listing, a maintenance window, or a promotion end date. Once an expiration date passes, that entry is no longer used to answer questions as if it were current — a Watcher won't confidently present expired information as still true.
Only an authorized admin's reply can be promoted this way — see "Watcher Ops / Escalation Group" for who counts as authorized.
