What is a Watcher?

An AI-powered Virtual Moderator you deploy to your Community.

Each Watcher has its own persona and settings, and can be deployed to one or more Communities. Every active Watcher-to-Community deployment uses one Watcher slot.

A Community is the actual Telegram group, supergroup, or channel you connect — connect your Telegram Community, then deploy Watchers into it.

Watcher slots, in practice

AegisCommunity A= 1 slot
AegisCommunity A+ Community B= 2 slots

One Watcher profile, deployed to two Communities, uses two slots — slots count active deployments, not distinct Watchers.

What can a Watcher do?

Real, opt-in capabilities — nothing here is on by default that you didn't configure.

Watch

Spam & scam moderation

Automatic detection and graduated enforcement for unsolicited promotion, link spam, and phishing/scam links.

Media safety

Photo and video moderation, so unsafe media doesn't sit in your community.

Engage

Natural conversation

Watchers chat naturally, in their own configured persona — not a generic support bot.

Project knowledge

Ground every answer in facts you provide — Watchers never invent claims about your project.

Operate

Auto-Posting

Schedule per-Watcher posting windows so your community stays active.

Activity & status

See what your Watcher is doing — always on, always watching.

    Choose your Watch plan

Your plan sets two separate limits: total Watcher slots and how many communities you can connect.

Pick Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum for self-serve monthly billing, or contact us for Enterprise. Each plan includes a set number of total Watcher slots (how many Watchers you can have active at once, across all your communities) and a separate community allowance (how many distinct communities you can connect at all).

These two numbers are independent — reaching your community limit doesn't use up Watcher slots, and vice versa.

    Create a Project

The identity and knowledge container your Watcher will actually use.

A Project holds your name, description, and the facts your Watcher can ground its answers in — never invented claims about you.

Each Project's knowledge stays isolated: what you add to one Project never leaks into another. A standalone Project (the kind you create directly through Watch) starts with just a name today; the fuller profile fields (website, docs link, overview) are available once your Project is connected through the existing setup path in step 4.

    Good to know

    Good to know

Project knowledge is isolated per Project — never shared across projects.

    04

    Connect your Telegram community

Add your Watcher's bot to the Telegram group or channel you want it to operate in.

Once connected, Innvil verifies the bot is actually present in your community before anything goes live — this is never assumed from the invite alone.

The bot needs specific admin rights, and only the ones your configuration actually uses: delete-message and restrict/ban rights if moderation is on, post rights if Auto-Posting is on. Innvil never requests blanket admin access.

    Good to know

    Community limit

Each community can hold at most 5 active Watchers, regardless of your plan's total slot count.

    Required

The bot must actually be present in the Telegram community — verified by Innvil before it goes live.

    Good to know

Connect directly from your Watchers page: pick a bot username, open the deep link Telegram gives you, then confirm your community — no support ticket needed.

    Create your Watcher

Configure the AI-powered Virtual Moderator that will represent you in the community.

Give your Watcher a name and a persona — a starting style preset, or your own custom description and tone. Its persona is what makes it sound like a real, consistent voice in your community rather than a generic bot.

Your Watcher answers questions grounded in the Project knowledge from step 3 — it never fabricates facts about your project beyond what you've told it.

    Good to know

    Plan limit

Total Watcher slots are shared across every community you connect — Bronze 2 · Silver 5 · Gold 10 · Platinum 20

    Good to know

A Watcher's persona is a starting point you can edit any time, not a one-time choice.

  6. Deployment · preview

    06

    Deploy it into your community

Creating a Watcher and putting it to work are two separate steps.

A Watcher isn't live until you deploy it into a specific community, and that deployment counts against both your account's total Watcher-slot allowance and that community's own cap of 5 active Watchers.

If you're at either limit, deployment is blocked with a clear reason rather than silently failing or bypassing the cap.

    Good to know

    Community limit

Up to 5 active Watchers per community.

    Good to know

Pausing a Watcher frees its slot immediately; reactivating re-checks your current capacity.

    Configure how it behaves

Moderation, media safety, and scheduled posting are all separate switches you control.

Moderation covers spam and scam-link detection with graduated enforcement (a warning first, escalating only on repeat offenses). Media moderation reviews supported photos/videos against your community's own settings. Auto-Posting lets a Watcher publish on a schedule you define, grounded in the same Project knowledge it answers questions from.

Every one of these is opt-in — nothing is turned on without your choice, and none of them are required to deploy a Watcher.

    Good to know

    Good to know

Moderation, media safety, and Auto-Posting are independent, opt-in settings — not bundled together.

    Go live and monitor

Your Watcher starts operating immediately — you can pause, adjust, or remove it any time.

Once deployed, your Watcher answers naturally, moderates, and (if configured) posts on schedule — no further action needed from you.

You can pause a deployment, edit its persona, or disconnect a community whenever you like; nothing about existing data is deleted just because a Watcher is paused. If you ever reach a plan limit, Innvil tells you clearly rather than silently degrading or shutting things down.

    Good to know

    Good to know

Pausing or removing a Watcher never deletes your Project's knowledge or history.

Enterprise

Two broad ways to run Watch at scale.

Both are the same Innvil Watch product and dashboard — the difference is who pays for the AI provider calls.

Managed

Innvil runs everything, including your AI provider usage — one flat monthly price.

from $399/mo

Bring Your Own (BYO)

Connect your own AI provider credential and pay less for the Innvil platform fee — your own provider usage is billed separately by your provider, not covered by Innvil.

from $299/mo

Neither option guarantees lower total spend — BYO only lowers the Innvil platform fee itself. Provisioning for either mode is completed with our team.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Free Trial?

A one-time, 7-day trial of Innvil Watch — 1 Watcher slot and 1 Community, no payment required. One-time Free Trial. Telegram verification required.

Do I need to pay to start?

No. No payment is required for the Free Trial.

Do I need Telegram?

Yes. A verified Telegram account is required to activate the one-time Watch trial.

What happens when the trial ends?

Your Watch setup remains saved — nothing is deleted. Choose a paid plan to continue active Watch operations.

How many Watchers can I deploy?

Your plan sets a total Watcher-slot allowance shared across every community you connect. Each individual community also has its own cap of up to 5 active Watchers, independent of your plan's total.

Can I use Watch in more than one community?

Yes, up to your plan's community allowance — Bronze includes 1, Silver 2, Gold 3, Platinum 5. Each community is a separate connection with its own Watcher deployments.

What happens if I reach my plan limit?

Innvil tells you clearly and blocks the specific action (deploying another Watcher, connecting another community) rather than silently failing or bypassing the limit.

Can I change my plan later?

Yes — subscribing to a different plan updates your entitlement; nothing about your existing Projects, communities, or Watcher configuration is deleted.

Does Watch work with my existing Innvil account?

Yes. Every Innvil product you use lives on the same Innvil account — there's no separate Watch-only login.

What's the difference between a Project, a Community, and a Watcher?

A Project is your identity and knowledge base. A Community is a specific Telegram group or channel you connect. A Watcher is the AI-powered Virtual Moderator you deploy into a Community — one Project can have multiple Communities, and Watchers are deployed per Community.
