Core Concepts

The terms used throughout Innvil Watch, in one place.

Innvil Watch — the platform. It gives Telegram communities Virtual Moderators (Watchers) that can moderate, communicate, use project knowledge, escalate questions, and operate continuously.

Watcher — an individual Virtual Moderator. Its own name, Telegram bot identity, persona, and configuration — never a generic, interchangeable bot instance.

Watcher Record — the complete configuration and operational identity of one Watcher: its persona, role, moderation behavior, knowledge, deployments, escalation settings, and status. This is where you define who a Watcher is and how it should behave.

Community — a customer-facing Telegram group, supergroup, or channel where a Watcher is actively deployed. Never a private one-to-one Telegram chat, and never your own personal Telegram identity.

Deployment — one Watcher operating inside one specific Community. Creating a Watcher and deploying it are two separate steps.

Watcher Slot — the billing unit for one active deployment. 1 Watcher Slot = 1 active Watcher × 1 deployed customer-facing Community.

Knowledge Base (Project Knowledge) — the facts, documentation, FAQs, and approved answers a Watcher can draw on when answering questions. A Watcher should prefer this over guessing.

Persona — how a Watcher communicates: tone, vocabulary, formality, emoji use, response length.

Role — what a Watcher is responsible for: moderation, support, security, technical answers, community leadership. Today, role is expressed through a Watcher's persona description and instructions rather than a separate structured field — see "Personas and Roles."

Moderation Rules — the configured behavior that decides what a Watcher acts on (spam, scams, explicit content, prohibited promotion) and what it does about it (warn, delete, escalate enforcement).

Escalation Group — a private Telegram group where Watchers send questions they can't confidently answer, for an authorized admin to resolve. Also called Watcher Ops.

Authorized Admin — someone with real Telegram administrator or creator status in the Escalation Group. Only an authorized admin's reply is treated as an approved answer.

Escalation — a specific question or issue a Watcher has sent from a Community to the Escalation Group, awaiting a verified answer.

Approved Knowledge — an admin's answer to an escalation, optionally promoted into the Knowledge Base so future, similar questions can be answered directly without escalating again.
